Well, for those of you that missed the April match shame on you! We had a wonderful day weather wise and a great match too. The match is going really fast now with all of the new pneumatic valves installed, thanks to the very welcome help of the guys from Cowboy Rifle Silhouette that did the diggin’.

Club Championship Awards were made and they are as follows:

Champion Fred Paxia                         Al Kuenn – Tie, Co-Chamion

2nd Place Shirley McDonough          Pete Terhaar – Tie Co-Champion
3rd. Place Al Kuenn                           Fred Paxia

I can’t remember a previous Tie for the Championship. Pay off for both first and second place was shared by the Co-Champions in Open Sights.

After the Awards, we took time out to have a very nice Barbeque, Chef Dale Burk officiating on the grill. I hope that we will do more of the cookouts down the road. Our May match on the 11th. will start Summer hours. That means that the match will start at 9 am sharp in order to beat the heat. Gates open at 7:30 or so and practice begins around 8:15am. So, plan to come out early and get in some practice and check your sight settings.

Fish & Game has announced new <Summer> hours for Ben Avery Shooting Facility as follows: Mon. & Tue – Closed, Wed. & Thursday – 7am to1pm and 5pm to 9:30pm,
Sat. 7am – 9:30pm, Fri. & Sunday – 7am to 1pm. Our regularly scheduled matches may extend beyond the 1pm. Closing time.

Note that our start time is now 9am.
