OK, listen up! This is important. The April Match will be held on the FIRST Sunday and not the Second Sunday. That’s April 6th. PLUS, we are still on Winter hours. Match begins at 10am. Sharp. There is more excitement too. This match will also host a Barbeque/Cookout etc. after the Awards. The Annual Club Championship Awards will also be made after the match. The points accumulated at each match are totaled on a modified Nascar type system. Seven points for a Match Win, 5 for a 1st. Place, 3 for a 2nd. Place, and 1 for a 3rd. Place. You have to show up and play to get points. Over the years, this system has never failed to delight and surprise. So please come to this match, you might be among the winners.

Many of you know Larry Collins, long time employee and Range Master at Ben Avery Shooting Facility. Tragically, Larry and his family have lost their grandson Bandon Freiwald, age 3. Kathy Ford at the range office is collecting money if any of the clubs and members want to stop by there and donate. If anyone needs more information, please email Shelley.
There is a proposal to increase the range fees charged at Ben Avery. Fees are currently $5.00 a day for individuals and the increase is to $7.00. This is the fee that Paloma pays to the range out of your registration fee we charge you to shoot at our matches. If this increase is approved, Paloma will have to react accordingly. You can take a look at the proposal on the Internet at this link: http://www.azgfd.gov/outdoor_recreation/ben_avery.shtml
There is lots of information there including the updated Schedule of Events and the approved Master Plan for the range.
Bring a lawn chair and anything you want to share with everyone. I’m fond of “Brownies” personally.
