Yet another cool day but not as severe as December. We WILL have better weather for the February match.
Please mark your calendar for March 9th. to indicate that there will not be a regular scheduled match for the month of March. Also, mark up April 6th. as the date for the April match. I know, this is the first Sunday and not the second Sunday. We got pre-empted because of the dang burn Cowboys once again. We could get the 6th., so we decided to do that instead of not shooting at all.
WOW, take a look at the high scores will ya? Fred Paxia did a double whammy winning both Open and Iron sights, John Dicus fired a fine 31 and I think this gives him a second leg into AAA. Great shooten’ everyone. This was in spite of the shivers too! It’s also encouraging to see some really nice high scores for Iron Sights too. Hey, we really do need to see some more revolver shooters here. I know you have a revolver hidden around the house somewhere, dust it off and find some ammo for it and bring it with you on Feb. 10th.
There is good news on the target front too! All of the new valves have been installed and I am reliably informed that they work great. The new re-set cycle time is now a swift 11 seconds! That’s the time it takes for the targets to stand up and the reset bars to go down. Woopee! That should add greatly to our otherwise pleasurable shooting experience. No more waiting!
